FIRST FOOTSTEPS
Plant tissue culture technology is one of the important fields of Biotechnology. It is applied to create plant varieties with outstanding characteristics such as: healthy, well-adapted, disease-free including virus diseases, preserving the desired source of seeds and producing on a large scale.
Realizing the long-term potential of the Tissue Culture field, applied in the production of quality seedlings, in 2014, Vietplants was born with the first steps, named Hoa Viet Seedling Biotechnology Joint Stock Company.
EXPAND PRODUCTION SCALE
From 2017 to 2020, Vietplants expanded the scale of the culture room, increasing the production capacity of tissue culture plants from 2 million plants to 15 million plants/year. Changed its name to Vietnam Plants Biotechnology Joint Stock company (Vietplants) from then on.
NEW TRANSFORMATION
In 2021, Vietplants became a member of U&I Group (U&I Agriculture Joint Stock Company (Unifarm)). That is a great motivation for Vietplants to step further and go further in the field.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
To best meet each customer’s seedling needs, also in 2021, Vietplants has Expanding the nursery system to develop stage 2 plants (plants on coconut coirs) and stage 3 plants (plants in ploly bags), maintaining the capacity to supply seedlings outside the nursery of more than 1 million plants/year …
From 2021 to now, we have made many breakthroughs in selecting high-yielding and disease-resistant plant varieties, notably successfully selecting and producing banana varieties with over 95% resistance to Panama disease. Contributing to diversifying plant varieties at Vietplants.
